Our online training courses are available to all our People Inc. Customers and are a perfect alternative to a full on site training course.

Courses are aimed at users with different levels of experience and ability from new users to system administrators.

Each session is typically 2 hours long to enable attendees to fit this in to their busy schedule.

Courses cost £150 per individual session or £500 for Courses consisting of 3 sessions.

New Customer and Setup Training

Duration

3 x 2 hour sessions

Objective

To gain a basic understanding of navigating People Inc. and to set up the key areas ready for use before learning how to entering new employee records and managing the employment life-cycle and finally managing absence.

Consists of the following sessions:

Session 1 – Overview of People Inc. and setup
Session 2 – Working with Employee Records
Session 3 – Managing Holidays and Absence

New User Training

Duration

1 x 2 hour sessions

Objective

Aimed at existing customers who have a new HR team member who needs to get up to speed on People Inc.

 

  • Logging in and changing Passwords
  • Overview of People Inc.
  • Using Searching and Filters
  • Adding Employees using a wizard
  • Managing Job and Salary records using a wizard
  • Understanding how FTE is calculated and used within system.
  • Recording absence for an employee
  • Leaver process using a wizard

Working with Filters

Duration

1 x 2 hour session

Objective

Filters are a key tool within People Inc. to help getting the most from your data. Learn how to create new filters to identify specific data withing People Inc.

Working with Letters

Duration

1 x 2 hour sessions

Objective

To gain an understanding of how the Letters and Email functionality works within People Inc; to set up a new letter templates and how to send letters to employees.

 

  • Introduction to working with Letters
  • Sending letters from People Inc.
  • Sending an existing letter from a Data Screen
  • Sending letters to groups of people using the Letter Library
  • Creating new Letter templates (using existing templates)
  • Managing the Letter Library

Tracking key events using the Action List

Duration

1 x 2 hour session

Objective

To learn how to create Action List Triggers and understand how the action list feature works in People Inc. to ensure important HR actions/events are not missed. Includes:

  • Introduction to the Action List Functionality
  • Viewing Actions relating to records
  • Adding Actions to a record
  • Viewing the Central Action List
  • Managing Actions (assigning/closing)
  • Using Action List Filters
  • Setting up Action List Triggers

 

Managing Employee Training

Duration

1 x 2 hour session

Objective

To learn how to create a library of courses within People Inc; set up a mandatory training program based on role and manage the day to day administration of recording employee training.

    Managing the Recruitment Process

    Duration

    1 x 2 hour sessions

    Objective

    To gain a basic understand of how to record and manage Vacancies and Applicants withing People Inc. including how the Recruitment process works within the system.

    • Publishing Vacancies to the company website*

    Managing Company Vehicles

    Duration

    Learn how to create your company vehicles database and assign vehicles to employees.

    • Tracking key dates such as Lease end Dates/MOT’s etc.

    Performing Annual Pay Reviews

    Duration

    1 x 2 hour session

    Objective

    Learn how to use the built in tools to carryout your annual pay review using People Inc. Includes:

     

    • Preparing for the Pay Review
    • Generating a new provisional salary record for each employee
    • Review salary figures by team/department/company
    • Updating amendments and adjustments
    • Applying the new pay to the system.
    • Notifying employees via a pay rise letter.

      Basic Report Writing

      Duration

      3 x 2 hour session

      Objective

      To understand how the Report Writer tool works within People Inc. and how to create some great looking reports in a variety of formats to help analyse data.

      The course is split into 3 separate sessions, each session increasing in difficulty, utilising the skills and experience gained in the previous sessions.

       

      Session 1 – Introduction to Report Writing
      Session 2 – Creating Multi Tabled and Grouped Reports
      Session 3 – Creating Summary and Cross Tab Reports

       

      Using the People Inc. Screen Designer module

      Aimed at system administrated to provide a basic overview of the built in Screen Designer module within People Inc. Learn how to add fields to existing screens and create new data screens.

        Managing Security Profiles

        Duration

        1 x 2 hour session

        Objective

        Designed to provide the System Administrator with an understanding of how the Security Module works within People Inc.

        • Creating a new User Account

        Employee Self Service for Administrators

        To provide the People Inc. administrator with the knowledge and skills needed to configure and roll out the Employee Self Service Module.

        The course is split into 3 separate sessions, each focusing on different stages of the setup and roll out:
