Creating Grouped Reports in Vizual Personnel Manager
For Advanced Personnel Manager Users*
Following on from our recent article’s on creating Simple List Reports and Summary Reports this month we will be looking at creating a Grouped Report which is a more advanced report using Vizual Personnel Manager. A Grouped Report can show a grouped list of information with subtotals that takes data from the Employee Details screen AND the Training History screen.
Grouped reports are more complex to create but can provide a ‘best-of-both-worlds’ approach as they combine List and Summary reports into one.
The process for creating a Grouped Report is similar to producing a list report however this time we need to spend more time customising the layout of the page to get the results we require.
In this example we will create a report showing a list of Training Records grouped by Employee. The report will also show a total cost spent on training each employee.
